MollyJolly Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 24, 2026

MollyJolly is operated by Warmodroid. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use the MollyJolly mobile application and related services.

1. A private place for two

MollyJolly is designed as a private shared space for you and one partner. Your content is not public. Anything you add to your shared space can be viewed by your connected partner. Service providers process information as described below to operate the app.

2. Information we process

We may process the following information:

  • Account information, including your email address and authentication identity from Google or another available sign-in method.
  • Profile and couple information, including display names, avatars, shared-space name, relationship dates, and membership details.
  • Content you choose to add, including answers, saved moods, notes, memories, photographs, captions, and associated dates.
  • App preferences, including notification settings, reminder time, timezone, device platform, and push-notification token.
  • Your optional weekly scrapbook recap choice, private recap pages created for your shared space, and limited delivery records for recap notifications.
  • Limited operational and diagnostic information, such as app version, device model, operating-system version, installation identifiers, timestamps, and technical error details needed to identify errors, prevent misuse, secure accounts, and maintain the service.

3. How we use your information

We use information to:

  • Create, authenticate, and secure your account and shared space.
  • Synchronize and display the content you choose to add for you and your connected partner.
  • Deliver reminders, partner-activity notifications, and weekly scrapbook notifications you enable.
  • Create a weekly scrapbook recap when both current partners separately agree to AI recaps.
  • Provide support, prevent misuse, investigate problems, and maintain the reliability and security of MollyJolly.

4. Services that help MollyJolly operate

MollyJolly uses third-party service providers:

  • Supabase provides authentication, database infrastructure, private file storage, and realtime synchronization.
  • Google processes authentication information when you choose Google sign-in and provides Firebase Crashlytics for crash and reliability diagnostics.
  • Expo helps deliver push notifications to your device. Apple, Google, and your mobile operating system may also process notification information to deliver notifications.
  • OpenAI processes selected text to help write a weekly scrapbook recap only when both current partners have enabled the feature.

These providers process information under their respective terms and privacy practices. MollyJolly does not currently use advertising SDKs, sell personal information, or use information for behavioral advertising or behavioral analytics.

5. Shared content and partner access

Content added to a MollyJolly shared space is accessible to both connected members. Your partner may see the answers, notes, memories, photographs, moods, profile details, and other content you add. Only connect with someone you trust and upload content you have the right to share.

Your partner may retain information they have already viewed, saved, copied, or captured. Warmodroid cannot control copies made outside MollyJolly.

6. Optional AI weekly scrapbooks

AI weekly scrapbooks are optional and require a separate choice from each current partner in the Weekly Scrapbook screen. Accepting the app’s terms or signing in does not turn AI recaps on. We do not send shared content to OpenAI for a recap unless both current partners have enabled the feature. Either partner can turn it off to stop future recap generation.

For an eligible past week, our server selects limited question prompts and revealed answers, saved answer moods, notes, and memory titles or text. It sends selected text to OpenAI with anonymous source and person labels. We do not add account names, email addresses, photographs, or photo URLs as separate inputs. Your own writing may contain names or other identifying details. Photographs are not sent to OpenAI for recap writing; the app may display an existing private memory photo beside the recap.

OpenAI returns draft writing. Before publication, we check source references and exact quoted excerpts, but we cannot independently verify every generated observation. A recap may include short exact excerpts from answers or notes, references to memories, and generated commentary. AI writing can be incomplete or inaccurate and is not a complete record of everything you shared.

We request that OpenAI not store the response for ordinary API retrieval. OpenAI states that API content is not used to train its models by default. OpenAI may retain abuse-monitoring logs containing submitted text and generated output for up to 30 days, or longer where required by law or reasonably needed to protect its services or others. Turning off AI recaps stops future generation but does not remove pages already published or undo data already sent for a completed request.

Published recaps are read-only, stored in the private shared space, and available to both current members. Later changes to source content do not rewrite an already published page. Referenced photos may stop displaying if the original photo becomes unavailable.

7. Photos

When you select a photograph, MollyJolly may optimize and re-encode it before uploading. This process is intended to prevent embedded metadata, such as location information, from being included in the uploaded copy.

Photos are stored in private storage and accessed through time-limited signed URLs. Photos are not sent to OpenAI for weekly recap writing. You should only upload photographs you have permission to use and share.

8. Push notifications

If you enable notifications, MollyJolly processes your notification preferences, reminder time, timezone, device platform, and push-notification token. Notifications may include reminders, relevant partner-activity updates, and a generic notice when a weekly scrapbook is ready. Recap notifications do not include private recap text or excerpts.

You can change notification preferences in MollyJolly Settings or disable notifications through your device settings. Delivery time is not guaranteed.

9. Security

MollyJolly uses technical controls intended to protect your information, including database row-level security, private file storage, time-limited signed image URLs, authentication and access controls, and restricted backend operations. No online service or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Information retention and account deletion

We retain information while it is reasonably required to operate MollyJolly, maintain shared spaces, meet legal or security obligations, prevent abuse, and resolve support requests.

You can request account deletion through the Settings screen in MollyJolly. Deleting an account removes that person’s access and stops future recaps for the shared space while it no longer has two active, consenting members. Shared memories, notes, answers, photographs, published recaps, couple details, dates, and author attribution may remain available to the connected partner so their shared history is not unexpectedly removed.

Turning off AI recaps stops future generation but leaves already published pages in the shared space. To ask us about removal of a published recap or other information, contact us using the details below.

11. Your choices and privacy requests

You may:

  • Correct your profile and shared-space information through the app.
  • Control reminder and notification preferences in Settings or through your device settings.
  • Enable or disable future AI recaps in Weekly Scrapbook.
  • Delete your account through MollyJolly’s Settings screen.
  • Contact us to request help with accessing, correcting, or removing information, subject to applicable requirements and the shared nature of some content.

For privacy requests, contact warmodroid@gmail.com.

12. International processing

Our service providers may process or store information in countries other than the country where you live. Those countries may have different privacy and data-protection laws.

13. Children’s privacy

MollyJolly is not intended for children under 13 years old. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, use MollyJolly only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through MollyJolly, contact us at warmodroid@gmail.com.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when MollyJolly, its features, or applicable requirements change. When we update the policy, we will revise the effective date and provide appropriate notice if a change materially affects how information is handled.
